Managing Director

Andrew runs Solar Surge Australia with his brother Luke. It is a family-run business, and the position it was built on is simple: a solar company should hold its own Electrical Contractor’s Licence and install with its own teams, rather than sell a system and hand the risk to whoever is cheapest that week.

He hosts Solar Surge Live, the company’s video series on the Australian solar market, and writes the market and policy coverage on Real Solar Talk — Queensland feed-in tariff changes, federal battery rebate rules, and how homeowners should actually compare installers.

Installation Manager

Luke leads installation at Solar Surge. Between them the brothers bring more than 20 years of combined electrical and installation experience, and every job is carried out by Solar Surge’s own accredited installers and designers under multi-layer compliance and quality assurance.

He is the technical voice on Solar Surge Live, walking through the failures the team gets called out to fix: burnt DC isolators, melted cables, water ingress and mixed-brand battery configurations that quietly void manufacturer warranties.
